Trek to Korigad

It was last Saturday morning, my mobile rang at around 5:30am. I took the phone with the most inattentive gesture, suddenly the lively sound of my friend got bumped on my ears..I woke up completely..and got ready within 15 mins..

We all had planned to go to the fort for trekking, and this was that VERY DAY!!...

As per the schedule, all trekkers boarded the bus and we started our journey to "Korigad" - The FORT Near Lonavla. As this was unseen, unheard fort for most of us, I like many others, was also wondering about the history and geography of this fort while enjoying the bus ride and "Antakshari" - the most common entertainment type for such journeys.

After taking stop for the breakfast in middle of the journey & making Maharashtra Police "Happy" we finally reached the fort 'paytha'..Entire team was not only happy but also was excited about trekking..

The fort was looking like a big straight mountain.. after seeing the elevation of that hilltop, many of us went into the depression.. Although, highness of that never seen peak was lowering the heart bits our 'Lakshya' to concur it remained STANDSTILL.

That day was a sunny day.. as many of us confirmed from their mobile..not only the forecast was made about the heat, but we actually started facing it while climbing up..

As soon as we reached the top, the zeal of our work got paid by the rain god, and to add up to the existing scene the clouds came from heaven. The entire view was a lush green, cloudy and pleasant - The nature was abundantly present on the fort top..

Everybody started taking their group pics.. the ones who were taking the single photos for them the photographers started asking money..as apparently those single photos seems to get uploaded on the marriage portals in near future :)

The trekkers were running, sleeping, walking and enjoying on the lush green surface as if the small kids enjoy when they go to zoo or a ground to play with their friends after the last day of the exams.. the nature, the greenery was such; which has propelled the hidden small kid in elders to come out of them.

We reached the same location which we saw from the bottom.. and top most area of the fort. The fog was giving the feeling as if we are in the aeroplane and looking from the window towards the clouds. We had the unforgettable group photo session here...had lunch.. and started for the return journey..

The experience on the fort has definitely taught us the way we look at life as Farhan Akhtar correctly says in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara..

"Dilon mein tum apni betaabiyan leke chal rahe ho,Toh zinda ho tum..
Nazar mein khwabon ki bijliyan leke chal rahe ho,Toh zinda ho tum..
Hawa ke jhokon ke jaise, Aazad rehno sikho
Tum ek dariya ke jaise, Lehron mein behna sikho
Har ek lamhe se tum milo,Khole apni bhaayein
Har ek pal ek naya samha,Dekhen yeh nigahaein
Jo apni aankhon mein, Hairaniyan leke chal rahe ho,Toh zinda ho tum
Dilon mein tum apni,Betaabiyan leke chal rahe ho,Toh zinda ho tum"
